The Kolb Cup is finished! And it has holograms on it! That's right, HOLOGRAMS!!!
Yes, that is an baseball actually signed by the Great One himself - bought it on eBay. Lends a touch of authenticity to the trophy. Think about it - Dan Kolb once touched that very ball! If that isn't a bad luck charm for the winner, then I don't know what is!
The plaque says "The Kolb Cup". The engraving was surprisingly cheap and the guys at the trophy shop got a kick out of the entire idea. I couldn't get a picture of it, but on the back, there's a similar plaque with the words "2008 - Gary Villa" enscribed. And the winner every year will get the same treatment. (The plaques are so shiny that it's tough to get a good picture.)
